Of course when we returned to the front desk just past 3:00 there were at least 20 people in line. So we checked our bags (which was at least possible although it meant the only front desk clerk had to leave his post to open the luggage room which was down a different hall leaving the front desk un-manned). I said, okay I get it, rooms aren't available until 3 but can I check in and come back latter for my key? "No" was the answer. When the call finally ended, I said I had a reservation and was told, sorry you can't check in until 3. It seemed like 20 minutes but was probably 12 or 13. ![]() When we got to the front desk the only representative was on the phone handling someone who called in about a reservation. ![]() My spouse and I had a reservation and showed up early (just after 12 noon). As a frequent business and personal traveler I've stayed in a thousand hotels throughout the USA and around the world and I've never encountered the odd check-in process that is employed at this hotel.
